About Katariina Jalas - Director, Executive Coach and HR Consultant
Founding Jalas Coaching in 2014 was the logical and almost inevitable outcome of working as an HR professional in the City of London since 2000. Transitioning into the role of an Executive Coach came from a desire to help people with their work-related issues in a more holistic way. I am interested in what lies below the surface in terms of individuals’ backgrounds and motivations. Therefore my approach to coaching is supported by an awareness of human development and psychology.
My particular areas of interest include dealing with issues such as career and leadership transitions, workplace relationships, enhancing your leadership style, confidence, stress management, portfolio careers, the entrepreneurial career and work/life balance.
In 2016, I started consulting to two technology start-ups and realised that my HR expertise was invaluable to businesses in their early stages of growth. I now offer HR consultancy and coaching services to small and medium sized businesses on a flexible basis.
Since the beginning of Jalas Coaching, we have dreamed of running our own retreats in Finland where we have drawn a lot of our inspiration from, and where indeed many of our big career changes have had their inception. Given our relocation (or "co-location" as we like to call it) to Finland in 2017, this dream has now become possible. From 2018 onwards, we will be offering coaching and well-being retreats in Finland to individuals and corporates.

About Adrian Dyer - Director, COO and Retreat Leader
Adrian Dyer is a Director and COO of Jalas Coaching. Adrian focuses on the smooth running of our retreats. When he is not researching new walking, running or boat/kayak trip routes, he is lighting up the fire for a sauna or a lake-side BBQ session. If you ask him, he might tell you about how he created his flexible portfolio career as a marine consultant, an extra in films, and a retreat leader!
